We're not hiring. Yet.

Gaya is a small team writing the credit infrastructure the African banking system has refused to. When we open roles, we'll write them ourselves, here, in plain language. Until then, this page tells you what we'll be looking for.

01 / What the work will be

Three things that will be true of every role.

  1. Field-first.

    We are building a bank on top of physical storefronts, weekly collections, and trust networks that already work. The job happens in markets and offices, not in a Slack thread.

  2. Small team, real ownership.

    If you join early, you own a function, not a ticket queue. You will design loan products, supervise loan officers, write the underwriting logic, or run the next pilot city.

  3. People who talk to traders and write memos.

    The technical work matters. The fieldwork matters more. Most of our hires will do both, comfortably, in the same week.
